Proof of citizenship is required when
traveling to Mexico. A passport, voter registration card or birth
certificate may be used. Be sure you have a picture ID to accompany your
documents.
Children traveling with parent also need proof of citizenship. If
only one parent is traveling, parent must have a notarized letter from the
second parent giving permission for the child or children to travel.
The Mexican peso is the official currency. However, U.S. currency is
accepted everywhere in Baja California Sur. Traveler’s checks and
credit cards are accepted in most establishments.
